1. EXPRESSING APPEARANCE AND CLOTHING
There are some typical sentence structures that express what people are wearing. All can be translated as “What is he/she wearing?”
| Milyen ruha van rajta? Mi van rajta? | Fehér poló van Lászlón. Fehér poló van rajtam. |
| Miben van? | Fehér polóban van. Fehér polóban vagyok. |
| Mit visel? Mit hord? | Fehér polót viselek. Fehér polót viselek. |
2. WHAT IS THIS MADE OF?
Some useful expressions to find out about the ingredients of a dish.
| Ez miből készül? | What is this made of? | csirkéből, babból |
| Ebben van…? | Does it contain…? | a húslevesben van…? |
3. INDEFINITE PRONOUNS
| valaki | mindenki | senki | valami | minden | semmi |

These pronouns are usually used only in the singular.
4. DOUBLE NEGATION

The indefinite pronoun with a negative (above) is used in a sentence, the predicate must also be negated. This is the double negative.
| Nem látok senkit. | I don’t see anybody. (Literally: I don’t see nobody.) |
| Itt nincs semmi. | There is nothing here. |
| A könyv nincs sehol. | The book is nowhere. |

Collection of Hungaricum
Hungaricum – A thing or phenomenon that is unique to Hungary and therefore represents great value for the Hungarians.
At the beginning of the 21st century, a movement was organized that aimed to systematize and sum up Hungarian values. After a broad societal and professional collation, Act number XXX of 2012 concerning Hungarian national values and Hungaricums was established and declared by the Hungarian Government on the 2nd of April, 2012. The act’s purpose is “to give a legal frame to Hungarian people in order to specify and identify their own values, moreover to contribute to the promotion of collected values.”
