13 If you are using Announcements

If you imported your content from a course shell in which you made any Announcements during a past semester, the announcements are copied into the new course shell and are readable by students by default. To reuse an announcement:

• Click on the announcement, and then select Edit.
• Select the box for Delay Posting, select a date and time, and click Save.

Now students will not see the announcement until the new posting date.

If you do not want to use an announcement again, click the checkbox next to the announcement and then click the trash can icon to delete it. You can delete multiple announcements at once this way.
