About the project

The Practicing Kindness in Crisis series offers multiple ways for UF Libraries personnel to share what makes each of us a “whole person” with interests and expertise that enrich our day-to-day work. Whether you find comfort in poetry, music, cooking, or exercise, sharing is one way we can support one another to resist isolation and foster community without adding to our workload.

Initially facilitated by the LibraryPress@UF team in collaboration with DEI Librarian Twanna Hodge in Spring 2020, the program continued in Fall 2020 with two additional sessions led by Chelsea Dinsmore, Laura Spears, and Carol McAuliffe. While developed primarily with our own internal audience in mind, most of the content is now publicly accessible.
